About Grace Farms
Grace Farms Foundationโs interdisciplinary humanitarian mission is to pursue peace through nature, arts, justice, community, faith, and Design for Freedom, a new movement to eliminate forced labor from the building materials supply chain.
The Foundationโs work is carried out at Grace Farms. The open, porous architecture of the internationally acclaimed River building at Grace Farms, designed by SANAA, is embedded into 80 acres of natural landscape. The building, designed to break down barriers between people and sectors, invites all to pause and reflect, while also encouraging engagement with our initiatives, creating new outcomes.
The result is a hopeful, yet active, environment where peace take shape.

We drove out to Grace Farms from New Jersey on a Saturday morning โ about an hour and a half each way. We aimed for the 10 a.m. opening and pulled in around 9:55, so we were the first ones through the gate. The weather was perfect: sunny, cool breeze, maybe 60s or low 70s when we arrived. Staff were friendly and polite, checked us in quickly and handed us a map. The place is spotless. The architecture is modern and genuinely cool โ the buildings, the furniture, all of it. There's a soccer field, a basketball court, a commons that works as a cafeteria, a sanctuary used for conferences, and lecture rooms. Walk past the buildings and across the field and you'll find ponds and a really good walking trail that I think some people miss entirely. There's also a small garden area with vegetables and plants worth a look. Overall, a very pleasant morning for my wife and me, and worth the drive. Going early meant we had the place mostly to ourselves โ a lot of quiet time in nature. There's no big wow factor here. It's just the tranquility of walking around, taking in the architecture, and enjoying the quiet. Really good vibes. I'd skip it in bad weather, but on a nice day it's absolutely wort

A great getaway from NYC, elegant design. The food from Grace cafe is delicious.

Great place for a day trip visit from NYC. Easily accessible by Metro North and a quick Uber ride. I loved the way they built that serpent building -- every steps you take, you get a different perspective. It's very photogenic to say the least -- not just that building, the whole place is. The farm maintains a 1-mile foot trail for you to walk around and take in the beautiful scenary outside of that popular building. There's easy access to food, drinks and restrooms. I ran into a good number of folks who were studying, working, or maybe just chilling there. There's also a basketball court an an auditorium. Try one of those silver chairs -- you may not want to ever get up again hahaha.

Iโve had this place on my list to go for a number of months now. My only regret is that I did not get here sooner! It was the perfect day of Zen, calm, and peace. The grounds are gorgeous . The architecture is stunning. It far exceeded my expectations. I know I will be back for another perfect day trip. I couldโve spent more hours than I spent there, but I did need to get home. Next time, I would bring my computer and a book.
